Campus Experience
Speaking from my own perspective, what surprised me most back then was that classes at Fanshawe College were primarily held in small classrooms. Having been accustomed to large lectures in China with 100 to 200 students, I was suddenly moved by the realization that the professor could actually see you and remember your name at a glance. Moreover, the professors are incredibly approachable. They often find Chinese students to be quite shy, so I urge my fellow students to muster the courage to communicate and interact with them more—after all, the opportunity to be in small classes where one professor serves only a few dozen students is rare back home.
Graduation Employment Rate
Each academic year, Fanshawe College hosts two large on-campus job fairs, attracting over 100 employers from various sectors, including manufacturing, tourism, services, healthcare, IT, business, and technology. The college also has a dedicated career services team that can help you refine your resume, provide interview advice, and more. As a result, the college ranks among the top in Canada for employment rates; even in a challenging economic climate, the employment rate for students within six months of graduation remains as high as 87%.
