Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business is widely recognized as a world-class business school. It was the first business school in Canada to receive accreditation from the AACSB (less than 5% of business schools worldwide hold this accreditation), and many prominent business professionals and financial leaders have studied there. All programs in engineering and computer science are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) and the U.S. Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), and the degrees are highly recognized throughout North America. Location
has two campuses: one in the city center, called Williams, which houses the School of Engineering, the School of Business, and the Department of Visual Arts; the other is in the suburbs, a 20-minute drive from downtown, called Loyola, which houses the departments of Humanities, Sciences, Athletics, Music, and Film. The downtown campus consists of modern high-rise buildings; attending classes there feels like entering an office tower. The surrounding area features subway stations, restaurants, supermarkets, bars, movie theaters, karaoke venues, massage parlors, shopping centers, parks, medical facilities, police stations, and more—every conceivable amenity is available, making it extremely convenient. Most Chinese students attend this campus. The suburban campus is the exact opposite. Aside from the academic buildings, there is almost nothing around except residential areas—it’s even hard to find a restaurant to eat at. However, this campus is very quiet and has a genuine campus atmosphere, with stunningly beautiful architecture.
