It is particularly worth noting that the University of Dubai’s undergraduate program in Architectural Engineering is the first in the Middle East to be accredited by the National Council for Architectural Accreditation (NCAA). Graduates with this degree are eligible to apply for registration as architects. All Bachelor of Engineering programs are accredited by ABET, while the Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA programs have received AACSB international accreditation—the highest honor for business schools worldwide.
Global Authoritative Accreditation Systems — Comprehensive Endorsement from the UAE to the U.S.
The core competitive advantage of a University of Dubai degree lies first and foremost in its extensive, multi-tiered accreditation. The university received official authorization from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as early as 2000, and all undergraduate and graduate programs have been formally accredited by the CAA (Council for Academic Accreditation), holding full legal validity locally.
At the institutional level, Dubai University is the only institution outside the United States and Latin America to be accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC). SACSCOC is one of the six major regional accrediting bodies in the United States and uses the same accreditation system as prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Duke, and Vanderbilt. Obtaining this accreditation means that degrees from the University of Dubai are recognized by U.S. universities and employers as having the same academic standing as those from U.S. domestic universities.
In addition, flagship programs such as business, engineering, architecture, and advertising have each received the highest-level professional accreditations from their respective fields: AACSB, ABET, NAAB, and IAA. In the QS World University Rankings 2026, Dubai University ranked 678th globally, placing first in Dubai for employer reputation and graduate employment outcomes, as well as for sustainability.
